As a natural hair enthusiast I’m always experimenting on different products to see what works for my hair and what doesn’t. In as much as I’m at risk of losing hair Incase my experiments goes wrong doesn’t stop me altogether. Life’s too short and a lil experiment here and there won’t hurt, will it?

Coming back to Kenya is so enlightening since I can get materials of my experiments easily and cheaply. And that’s a plus for me 😉. I decided to get some avocados (which were intended for eating btw) and some bananas for my hair because I was in need of deep conditioning my hair.
What you will need:-
- Avocado- 1
- Banana-2
- Olive oil (as much as you need)
- Essential oils optional (I used peppermint essential oil)
Avocados are great for treating dry and brittle hair as they are rich in vitamins, oleic acid and other essential fatty acids.
Bananas are also great for treating dry hair because they contain beneficial vitamins such as potassium and vitamin A. Moreover, they minimize breakage and soften hair.
Olive oil is used to help penetrate and add moisture to patched strands.
How to use
Place all your ingredients in a blender and blend it thoroughly until it’s a thick consistent mixture. You can add more EVOO until your desired consistency. If you don’t have a blender you can just mash your ingredients making sure everything is mashed well and stir it very well.
Use a strainer so you wont end up with chunks in your hair like I did.

Detangle, rinse thoroughly and style as usual.
I had difficulty with using this mixture because I wanted to eat everything instead of applying it on my hair. But after the whole process, my hair felt so good and it was shiny.
Thank you for reading. Leave a comment if you’ve tried this mask before or you’ll give it a try. Until next time.
That mask sounds great! I love to use natural ingredients like that as well, so I will give this a try! :)
