Cacao tree in Schokoladen museum |
The exhibits takes you through the chocolate’s fascinating
journey from its early roots in ancient civilizations to the modern day
indulgence we know and love. It was fascinating to see how cacao was
transformed from a bitter ceremonial drink into the sweet treat we savor today.
Watch the tour on my Youtube channel: Lindt chocolate museum tour
My favorite part in the visit consisted of watching professional chocolatiers make beautiful creations. We watched the entire chocolate production cycle through giant windowpanes as the artisans roasted and shaped and covered up these delectable edibles. The process of creation resembled artistic skill formation as viewing agents observed craftsmanship happening live.
As a museum visitor you'll see the stunning chocolate tower along with the opportunity to have a crispy waffle covered in chocolate. Customer choice allowed us to create our own personalized chocolate creation at the facility which we loved so much.
Once we finished touring the museum we visited the Chocolat Grand Café where the waiter helped us select our cocktails.
Students receive discounts at the museum although it's vital to ask museum staff at the ticket counter for details.
